I’m going to begin by being straight with you… I didn’t like “The Amazing Spider-Man” all that much. It wasn’t that it was a bad movie. It wasn’t that it was poorly acted. It wasn’t the action. I don’t know, there was something about it I didn’t like. I will admit that visually it was pretty good and Andrew Garfield was a good Peter Parker for a new age (God, the first Spider-Man came out ten years ago.) Low and behold, the movie went on to do well at the box office, which of course set in motion the sequel.
Above you will find our first real footage of the movie. I like the character of Electo in the comics. His suit is snazzy and he can control electricity. What we have here is not Electro. We have Jamie Foxx painted to look like Mr. Freeze from “Batman and Robin.” Will his appearance deter me from seeing this movie? No, I wasn’t going to see it anyway. Perhaps it will be a great movie now that they have all the back story and origin stuff in the bag but I am simply not interested. Plus, they added like a million characters to the movie and I fear that I’m going to be claustrophobic with comic book characters comes out at me. The last movie to do that was “X-Men: The Final Stand” and we all know how that turned out (look out X-Men: Days of Future Past!). Watch the footage and let me know what you think. Maybe it’ll be good. Time will tell.
